Love & Storytelling
To me, a wedding day is not a fashion shoot and it is not just about photos, it is about the love of two people who are committing to one another, and it’s about two families coming together.
Whether it is Indian Wedding Photography I am commissioned for, or western wedding, the essence of each and every wedding writes its own story. And the true reason of why I am there is to make real photographs that have real meaning to real people.
“There is one thing the photograph must contain, the humanity of the moment.”
— Robert Frank
I feel very fortunate to be regarded as one of the few award winning wedding photographers in the UK, and to be revered as one of the leading Photojournalists in the Asian Wedding Photography industry today, with my unique blend of natural photography, and classic fine art imagery.
A true lover of arts, infatuated by storytelling through imagery; the tenacity to recognise interactions & emotions between people comes naturally to me enabling me to slice out moments, freezing them, as they testify to time’s relentless melt.
“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up”
— Pablo Picasso
I pride myself on attention to detail, throughout the process, meeting the high-end level of portraiture and storytelling.
It’s a thrill to make photographs, but it’s important to me that the photographs will engage you. And ultimately, I want to offer you a gratifying and enduring story of your wedding.
“Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.”
As a true wedding photojournalist in the truest sense I bring with me the creativity and artistry whilst bringing an honest and truthful approach to capturing the wedding day in a literal sense. Each laugh, tear, high five will be just as they happened, both pure and real.
“Photojournalism is a unique and powerful form of visual storytelling originally created for print magazines and newspapers but has now morphed into multimedia and even documentary filmmaking. Through the internet, apps and the mobile device explosion, photojournalism can now reach audiences never before imagined with immediate impact, while continuing to write our visual history and form our collective memories..”
— Ed Kashi
I have been interviewed and featured by various wedding blogs and published in Olympus Magazine, South Asian Bride Magazine, Professional Image Maker Magazine, Wedding Lovely, Wedding Photography Select, Asian Wedding Ideas, Your Perfect Wedding Photographer, Desi Bride Breams and many others too.
“What greater thing is there for two human souls, than to feel that they are joined for life–to strength each other in all labor, to rest on each other in all sorrow, to minister to each other in silent unspeakable memories at the moment of the last parting?”
— George Eliot
